Since 1980, Leon Fontaine has been committed to empowering people through the word of God. He has garnered worldwide recognition and individual respect from thousands of people who have been impacted by his practical relevant teachings. Leon is a much sought-after speaker in his own community and abroad.
As well as equipping individuals with skills for family, career and success in life, Leon travels around the world coaching and training business and church leaders. As of January 1, 2010 Leon has also added the role of CEO at The Miracle Channel, a 24-hour a day Christian television network, availale by cable and satellite across many areas of the world.
A second-generation pastor, he credits his parents, Pastors Cameron and Jacquie Fontaine, and their fervent prayers for his ability to minister and teach people how to live a life of significance.
Since becoming senior pastors at Springs Church in 1994, Leon and Sally Fontaine have taken the church through a period of unprecedented growth. They firmly believe the church has to be spirit contemporary to reach all generations with the message of Jesus Christ.
Leon's teachings are heard weekly by thousands of people at services located throughout Manitoba and in Calgary, Alberta. As well as on his weekly television program that is broadcast across North America, the United Kingdom, Australia and other far-reaching parts of the world. Also available is his online media including podcasts and articles which are featured in The Winnipeg Sun and The Calgary Sun.
Leon believes that it is important to be contemporary wherever we are at. Spirit Contemporary Churches reach people of all ages, ethnic and religious backgrounds by teaching God’s word in a relevant and easily understood manner. Spirit Contemporary Leaders influence the marketplace with their integrity and high standards.
This network was birthed out of Leon’s desire to help church and business leaders develop to their full potential and ultimately see lives changed. When Leon started out, there were few resources available for him on practical issues like hiring and firing, the day-to-day running of a church, etc. Helping other leaders has now become one of his greatest passions.
